I'm a member of HL and appreciate your mention of us, within this forum. It's been a great service, contact group, information centre as well as just plain fun given the diversity of the members.
My first experience was with finding an emergency dentist in La Ceiba, and received an answer with name, phone, address and bilingual status within minutes!
The group has helped travellers with hotels, provided information concerning issues such as residency, buying or building a home (great section on solar heating!), hiring workers and the list is endless.
Most definately worth checking out for yourself!
