The first step in making coconut oil is collecting coconuts.  We sometimes collect the coconuts from a friend's house, and sometimes we collect them from the beach.  Making our own coconut oil we end up saving ourselves something around two cents, but if it's healthy and fun and not hurting anybody, why not!  Next you have to ferment coconut milk to get virgin coconut oil.
