Birth Certificates
I was able to obtain the certificate in about one month. Of course, she was born at a private hospital and the doctors there send out everything very quick. Three weeks after her birth, I went to the civil registry and asked for the birth certificate and the secretary told me to return in a week and it would be completed. I was very lucky from what I understand. Many people wait months. I guess right place, right time. My daughter was born on Jan. 15th and we were in the US by March 18th. Enough time to complete the passport paperwork and a long trip to Ojochal, too.
