ESL Teachers Needed in Costa Rica

Christ For the City is looking for ESL teachers willing to commit one year or more of their lives to volunteering in Costa Rica.

ESL teachers are needed in several Christ For the City ministries located in Costa Rica. CFCI operates many ministries in Costa Rica including children's programs in slum areas, youth job training, and adult literacy programs. Teachers would be responsible for teaching and tutoring both youth and adults in need of English skills. Some Spanish language skills are necessary, however, if the applicant is not a Spanish speaker but willing to attend language school prior to beginning duties with CFCI, their application is still welcome.

It sounds like a perfect opportunity for the right person to make a contribution and also to get to know this wonderful country.

Hi, thanks for asking! We've been sending ESL teachers to different countries in Central America for quite awhile now, but it's been on more of an individual basis as we have people interested in doing that. This program in this area is new and they're interesting in having several teachers join them- so yes, this part of the program would be a new thing.

I look a look at the website.  Is your ESL teaching program new or has it been part of the organization for some time?
