Social Networking

The Central America Forum is small and for making sense of living in Central America, this is about those big social networks, in the 1980s and 1990s we got along fine without social networking,,,in fact all our 'social networks' were face to face, the oral tradition with both fellow ex pats and locals, there are a lot of geeo, really good things on line as well, seek a balance and again for any WANABEE ex pat, travel to Central America FIRST for at least 90 days if possible and look around on your own, got an e mail the other day 'what country would be the best for me to retire in..?' Don't know I told him, you travel here..you decide!!!!!!

Very discouraging and disconcerting

Serious security and safety issues abound, much to my disheartening. Finding a link that looked like it might contain more advice of importance [http://www.hobotraveler.com/travel-journal/anonymous-users-learn-to-rape-women-using-facebook.html] I REALLY became disturbed after reading through the page and into the associated posts. The links e-mailed to me at one of my REAL e-mail accounts [ I have others because I can't decide on a good name and I gave my wife - divorced - the one I originally created ] through the CA Forum provided really valuable information and advise. The link to [ http://central-america-forum.com/member-blogs/central-american-travel-pr... ] was especially loaded with other good links. I am surprised at how naive I am almost as much as by how I would like to stay that way.
