Thousands Watched in San Jose Costa Rica as American Jeremy Lusk Attempted a Deadly Motorcycle Stunt and Died

This gave me the willies: a motorcycle stunt that looks impossible is entertainment?

This reminds me a little of the one and only rodeo I went to in Nicaragua.  There were so many drunk amateurs around, even part of the bull-antagonizing crowd running in the ring.  The men riding the bulls were clearly not experts.  There was very little safety precaution taken.  One young man died.  Oh well, most shrugged it off.  But there was one couple about forty who were crying very loudly, haunting unselfconscious moans I have never forgotten.  They didn't shrug it off as easily as many of the attendees.

Sorry that you met such a meaningless death, Jeremy Lusk.  Sorry this was the way your Costa Rica trip ended.  It's a shame we weren't able to provide you a less dangerous way to challenge yourself.  May your family find peace.
