It's been five years now since I hiked two days through the mosquito-infested forests near Peten, Guatemala, to El Mirador. It is a huge pyramid, once part of the Mayan Civilization - similar to what is seen at Tikal but the Mirador is hardly excavated, and very remote (hike two days, or go without!)

Flores is cool

Flores is a cool town. It's in the neighborhood of Mirador. That's where you go to get the tickets for the group trip to Mirador. Don't miss the Copan ruins in Honduras either.
