Rice From Our Garden in Uvita, Cosa Rica

This picture of the rice from our garden in Uvita, Costa Rica was taken about two weeks ago.  The rice was not quite ready for harvest.  But now the grains have become tan/brown and we have harvested part of it already.  The rice did very well here.  We bought the seed from a nearby farmer who had planted rice near Cortez.  The rice was never flooded, but we had enough rain so the ground never dried out either. Try planting some rice!
