Roads Closed Near Earthquake Damage in Vara Blanca

Interested to see the worst of the Costa Rica earthquake damage first hand?  Sorry, unless you've got credentials, you won't be able to very easily.  The police have road blocks set up to prevent anyone from getting to the worst of the damage.  From what I was able to gather, the main reasons are to prevent looting (there has already been a lot of looting) and to keep the roads unobstructed for the extensive road repair that is going on.  We took this picture from the Vara Blanca intersection a few days ago at the turn-off to Poas (we came from Poas to get there).
