Hi Andrew, You did a nice job with the farm. We planted a lot of stuff there but I have a feeling it didn't make it through the dry season because I'm not sure of how much watering they got after we left. I wish you the best with it.
ps Sorry about the captcha, it's the only way to stop the spam-bots which can now read easy captchas. But if you register and log in, then you don't have captchas at all. BTW Did you ever meet Scott D in Georgia? In soil Science M program.

Hi Peter Christopher,
I don't know you but you must know Rowbear. I designed and built that solar dryer. I didn't know these pictures were online. If anyone would like to learn more about what we do at Finca Carolina please take a look at www.utsi.org. I also write a blog called www.puravidadreamin.blogspot.com. We also have a group on facebook under the name of UTSI (Uvita Tropical Studies Institute). I was away from the farm for 3 years while conducting my MS in Horticulture at the University of Georgia. I am now back managing Finca Carolina. Our hanging benches have evolved into hanging metal benches inside of a nice propagation house. Nice pictures and the bananas look yummy. Ripe Plantains also work really well in the dehydrator and turn a golden color rather than the brown color that the bananas turn.
