Water problems

During last years rains we lost 80 % of our banana plants due to root rot and other diseases. We have replanted and hopefully in 6 months we will be back on track.

Fungicide
No our problem is different, too much water at one time. We accually had water coming up from the ground! Root rot and the nasty bugs that came later was the down fall. Being that we are organic for the most part is what did us in, If we did use the sparys that the big companies use (and we could have) we would not have lost so much, I guess it is my wanting to be as natural so possible, but still be productive.
that's a lot to lose
Do you know: Is this the same type of fungus problem that forces large conventional chaguite planations to spray so much fungicide?
